We had some minor concerns when we moved in, and they were all resolved quickly.

Oakwood Rosslyn is very convenient to everything - including Metro and FSI.  The FSI shuttle stops at the door.

I am very satisfied. Harris Teeter is a 5-minute walk. Giant is 10 minutes away, and Trader Joe's is about 15 minutes away by foot.

they always got back with us quickly, but their contract providers didn't always get it done. the housekeeping was poor, just going through the motions. when we had a problem with our bed, they didn't address the problem (no support bar underneath), they just replaced the mattress. I ended up buying something to fix the problem.

Comparing notes with friends who have stayed with other companies, I would choose either BOQ or an Oakwood-managed unit, but not in an Oakwood property. Others were far more satisfied with the service provided by those companies. In fact, except for people who live in Oakwood-owned properties, I don't hear complaints from anybody outside of NCH.

Arlington County preschool options are amazing via the Parks and Rec Dept.  They are very reasonably priced and the teachers are fantastic.

The staff at 1401 Joyce are wonderful.  They know my children and dog's name and welcome them each time.  The building is extremely dog friendly and was not afraid to have a German Shepard mix like Oakwood.  The gym is fantastic and the party room/bbq area overlooks the skyline of DC.  It is beautiful.  

The neighborhood is great for walking around and there is so much to do here.  Pentagon Row shops/restaurants, Fashion Place Mall, and one of the best Arlington County Parks located right across the street.  It has 2  parks, spray park, sand volleyball court, basketball and tennis courts, 2 soccer fields as well as nice paths to walk.  

I would live here again without any hesitation.  The apartments are well kept, large, and the furniture is great.

BOQ is extremely responsive on maintenance issues, and liaising with building management.  I can't say enough good things about the service provided by BOQ.

While I am extremely satisfied with the service provided by BOQ, I do not think I would return to this particular property, Sedona-Slate.  The club room is difficult to use as there are constantly graduate students using the room, and the costs to rent the room for a group are prohibitive.  While the building is new and modern, the finishes are not very nice.  Apartments on the lower half of the building are dark, and the third floor is on the ground level and lacks privacy.  Dog walkers are known to use the parking garage to relieve their pets.  BOQ is excellent, but the building is not so nice.
