Service was decent but the building and apartments (public areas and private apartments) are in such mediocre condition -- so badly in need of renovations and upgrades -- that there were too many problems.

Oakwood Crystal City is very mediocre -- yet we'd consider it again and wouldn't completely recommend against it because of the terrific convenience in terms of proximity to the Crystal City metro shop; shuttle to FSI; adequate nearby shopping (decent on necessities; mostly bad for restaurants with a few exceptions); good Zipcar and bikeshare access.  The building's public areas and apartments -- especially the kitchens -- are sorely in need of MAJOR upgrades and renovations.
