Quality of "Welcome Kit" provided

Very Satisfied

Please share what items were included in the welcome kit.

Standard Oakwood kit, with the basics to make a kitchen useful and functional. A kettle, either electric or stove-top, would be nice. Plenty of towels, sheets, and pillows. Enough crockery and glassware for six.

Quality of housekeeping services

Very Satisfied

If you ever had an issue with the quality of housekeeping services provided, was the issue ever resolved to your satisfaction?

Proximity to grocery store(s)

Very Satisfied

Please list the grocery stores near your building.

A small, but fairly well-stocked Safeway is only a couple of minutes walk away. A quick bus ride back up Clarendon Blvd will drop you off at Whole Foods, and maybe other stores, although I didn't pay much attention, to be honest. It's possible that across the river in Georgetown, another fairly quick bus ride, there are more good grocery stores.

How many times have you stayed with each of the directly billed apartment programs?
BOQ: 0

NCH: 0

Oakwood: 3

If you have stayed in this particular housing before, was this a deciding factor for you to return and why?

I've stayed at this Oakwood before, when sent back on Medevac. We usually stay in Falls Church as a family. It's a great location, and with the kids being much older now, I knew they would be okay without a playground or kids activities. I wouldn't recommend this location if you have youngsters, or if you need access to a business centre. It's the one failing at this Oakwood, the lack of a printer for resident's to use.

Please use this space to share any additional thoughts about this particular direct billing program and the apartment where you stayed.

Great for single people, couples, or families with older children who have freedom to explore, as there isn't a playground, or any kids activities that I know of. There might be a park nearby, I don't know, and I'm not sure about dog parks either, but VA is dog friendly, so I'm sure there's a good spot nearby. There's so much to see and do within walking distance of this apartment: the Marine Corps Memorial, Arlington National Cemetary, crossing the bridge into Georgetown, walking back up to Courthouse on Arlington Blvd. Go for it - if it fits your requirements.
